The applicable terms depend on the country: business clients in Canada, Send Chap app users in Côte d’Ivoire.
Last updated: October 22, 2026
Preamble
Send Chap provides businesses with global payments, FX and Mobile Money collection and disbursement infrastructure. Services for individuals (money transfer through the Send Chap app) are governed by the terms accepted in the app.
1. Parties and scope
These terms are entered into between DEV STUDIOS CANADA INC., incorporated in Ontario (Canada) — No. 100811538, with its head office at 1608-9 Valhalla Inn Road, Etobicoke (Ontario) M9B 0B2, Canada (“Send Chap”), and any business client: a legal entity or a sole trader acting solely in a professional capacity (the “Client”).
DEV STUDIOS CANADA INC. is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business (No. C100000009) and with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider under the Retail Payment Activities Act. These registrations relate to its activities in Canada.
Specific agreements signed with a Client prevail over these terms in case of conflict. The language of the relationship is French or English, at the Client’s choice.
2. Account opening and verification (KYB/KYC)
Access to the services is subject to prior verification. The Client provides in particular:
- its current articles and registration extract;
- proof of its representatives’ authority;
- the identity of its directors, representatives and beneficial owners;
- any information on its business, the source of funds and the nature of the intended transactions.
Send Chap may request additional information, consult third-party sources and refuse to open an account without giving reasons where regulation requires. The Client warrants the accuracy of the information provided and reports any change in writing without delay.
3. Communications and access security
Communications take place by email, through the client area, by phone or by post. The Client is responsible for keeping its credentials confidential and its mailbox secure, and reports any loss, theft or unauthorized use immediately. Notices are validly sent to the last address provided by the Client.
4. Payment orders
- The Client initiates payments from its client area or through the API, providing the beneficiary’s name, address and bank or wallet details.
- The Client checks the beneficiary details before confirming. Send Chap is not liable for errors resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Client.
- A confirmed order whose funds have been transmitted to the payment partner can no longer be cancelled.
- Execution times shown are estimates; they depend on the corridor, the operator and compliance checks.
5. FX and quotes
Before any conversion, the Client receives a quote showing the amount debited, the converted amount, the exchange rate applied and its validity period. After that period, the rate may change. Conversions may be carried out with third-party partners.
6. Fees
Applicable fees are communicated to the Client before any transaction or set out in its agreement. Any fee change is notified at least one month before it takes effect; a Client who refuses it may terminate free of charge before that date. Taxes, third-party fees and any recovery costs are borne by the Client.
7. Refusal, suspension and blocking
Send Chap may refuse, delay or suspend a transaction, or block access, in case of suspected fraud or illegal activity, breach of these terms, a request from an authority or unavailability of a partner. The Client is informed unless the law prohibits it.
8. Sanctions, anti-money laundering and prohibited activities
The Client represents that neither it, its directors nor its beneficial owners are subject to economic sanctions (including those of Canada, the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States) and that it will not use the services for the benefit of sanctioned persons, activities or countries.
Send Chap screens transactions and may request any supporting document. The business sectors and countries Send Chap does not serve are listed on the “Prohibited sectors and countries” page.
9. Confidentiality and personal data
Send Chap does not disclose Client information to third parties except with express consent, under a legal obligation or where needed to provide the services; its employees, providers and payment partners, bound by confidentiality, are not considered third parties. Personal data is processed in line with the Privacy Policy, which the Client shares with the individuals whose data it provides (representatives, beneficial owners).
10. Liability
Send Chap is liable for direct damages caused by its gross negligence or wilful misconduct. It is not liable for indirect damages (loss of profit, business or opportunity), nor for the consequences of force majeure, decisions of an authority or central bank, sanctions measures, failures of telecommunication networks or of a partner, or inaccurate information provided by the Client.
11. Term and termination
The relationship is entered into for an indefinite term. Either party may end it at any time in writing with two months’ notice. In case of serious breach, fraud or regulatory requirement, termination may be immediate. Termination does not affect transactions in progress or obligations arising before it.
12. Complaints
Complaints may be sent by email to support@sendchap.com or by post to DEV STUDIOS CANADA INC., 1608-9 Valhalla Inn Road, Etobicoke (Ontario) M9B 0B2, Canada. We acknowledge receipt and respond as promptly as possible.
13. Use of the website
The website presents Send Chap services for information only; it is not a firm offer, nor financial, legal or tax advice. Services are subject to prior verification and to availability by country, corridor and operator. Amounts, rates, code samples and interfaces shown are illustrative examples.

15. Changes to these terms
Send Chap may amend these terms. Changes are published on the website and notified to the Client at least one month before they take effect, unless the law requires otherwise. A Client who refuses them may terminate free of charge before that date.

1. Purpose and scope
These terms of use govern access to and use of the payment services offered through the Send Chap app in Côte d’Ivoire, published by DEV STUDIOS (Cocody Riviera Palmeraie, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire). They apply to any individual or legal entity using these services and set out in particular:
- the features and conditions of use of the services;
- the applicable limits and fees;
- the obligations and responsibilities of the parties;
- the risks associated with using the service;
- the procedures for stopping payments, complaints, refunds, closing and amending the contract.
2. Definitions
- KYC: customer identification and due diligence procedure.
- OTP: one-time code sent by SMS or email.
- Dormant account: account with no transaction for more than 12 months.
- PSP: licensed payment service provider.
3. Available services
The Send Chap app lets its users:
- transfer money between Mobile Money networks;
- transfer funds to bank accounts and e-wallets;
- buy airtime and gift cards;
- view their transaction history;
- access customer service free of charge.
4. Creating and using an account
To create an account, the user must:
- be at least 18 years old or have parental consent;
- reside in Côte d’Ivoire and hold an Ivorian phone number;
- provide an official ID document and complete the KYC procedure.
Each user may hold only one account, which is strictly personal. Any duplicate leads to the deactivation of the accounts concerned.
5. Security and login data
The user is responsible for keeping their credentials, PIN and OTP codes confidential. Any loss, theft or fraudulent use must be reported immediately through the in-app customer service. Repeated failed attempts may temporarily block the account or cancel a transaction.
6. Service availability
The service is available 24/7, except during maintenance, updates or technical incidents. In case of interruption, the user is informed by notification or any other electronic channel.
7. Payments and irrevocability
Any confirmed payment order is irrevocable, except for a transaction scheduled for a later date or with the parties’ express agreement before execution. The user may only stop a payment in case of proven loss, theft, hacking or fraudulent use.
8. Stopping payments and complaints
Stop requests are reported as soon as the anomaly is noticed, through the app or customer service, and confirmed in writing (email or in-app support) within 24 hours.
A complaint is admissible within a reasonable time after the disputed transaction. An acknowledgement is sent and a response is given within seven (7) business days.
9. Refunds
The user may request a refund of a transaction within eight (8) weeks where:
- the exact amount was not known when it was authorized;
- the amount exceeds what the user could reasonably expect.
Send Chap may refuse a refund with reasons. The user may then refer the matter to the competent authorities, including the WAMU Banking Commission or the Financial Services Quality Observatory (OQSF).
10. Fraud and anti-money laundering
In line with BCEAO and ECOWAS regulations, Send Chap applies due diligence, monitoring and reporting procedures. An account may be suspended at any time in case of suspicion.
11. Changes to the terms and fees
Any change to the terms or fees is notified at least two (2) months before it takes effect. A user who refuses it may terminate free of charge during that period.
12. Closure, suspension and dormant accounts
Send Chap may suspend or close an account in case of:
- breach of these terms;
- suspected fraud or offence;
- court order;
- prolonged inactivity (no transaction for 12 months).
Dormant accounts are handled in line with BCEAO regulations: unclaimed funds are transferred to the BCEAO after nine (9) years and held for up to twenty (20) years.
13. Personal data
Send Chap processes your data to manage your account and services, prevent fraud and meet its legal obligations (KYC, AML/CFT), in line with its privacy policy (“Côte d’Ivoire” tab). You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion and objection at any time at support@sendchap.ci.
14. Notifications
Notices and communications may be sent by SMS, email or in-app notification.
